The McDonald’s brand is instantly recognized across the globe, which has naturally led McDonald’s to register its trademark worldwide. They have not only sought to protect the widely recognizable M as a trademark, but also all of their burger and product names, their Ronald McDonald activities and the slogan “I’m lovin’ it”. In Europe, the company has even registered its jingle as a trademark sound. McDonald’s is a company that leaves nothing to chance: the shape of their French fries box is also registered as a European trademark.
