Bas Kist is co-founder and shareholder of Chiever. He started his own trademark consultancy in Amsterdam in 1991. Four years later, he and Alice Slabbaert established the trademark consultancy Shield Mark.
In 2008, following the acquisition of Shield Mark by the Danish company Zacco, he was appointed Marketing Director of the new international group. Bas left Zacco in 2010 and set up Chiever with two of his partners.
Within Chiever, Bas is responsible for marketing. He regularly writes articles on trademark and copyright law for the De Volksrant newspaper and the advertising magazine Adformatie. Bas is a lecturer at the EFMI Business School and the European Institute for Brand Management EURIB.
